But it is great to have it all documented and there is also much to learn that we just take for granted. It is a classic book referenced by the industry and something good to just have on your bookshelf even after the course is completed.

The book will help you present any information to anyone in a concise, motivating, interesting, engaging manner. I got a lot from this book, and this was just for an introductory course.

I am actually still in the process of using this text, but so far it has been very helpful. This was required text for a graduate course in Instructional Design and even if I had not been taking this course, I would still recommend this text simply because of the detail it provides and step-by-step method it uses to teach Instructional Design. If you are a new instructor looking for a text to help guide you through the design of a course, or already a designer looking for a desk reference to help with keeping everything in perspective or making explaining what you mean to others simpler, this text is definitely worth the purchase.
