One of my favorite New Adult books is J. I loved Cam from the moment Avery smacked right into him. Getting to read all the events that happened in Wait For You from Cam's point of view in this book did not disappoint.
In-fact, reading this book made me love Cam's character even more. From understanding his persistence with Avery, finding out what really made him tick, the trust he wanted in his relationship with Avery, his relationship with his family, and friends, and knowing his thoughts and feelings really made this book just as good of a read as Wait For You was. For me, I didn't think that would have been possible.

Leave it up to Jennifer Armentrout to make me swoon all over again. Cam is one of those characters whom is going to be hard to beat when it comes to well written, swoon worthy characters. Sure Cam is hot. He has the right moves, and the looks that could get him any girl he wanted, but, there's more to Cam than that.
He's not a character who's egotistical. He has all the traits that make him a fabulous well rounded great guy.
I love his honesty with those he has in his inner circle, his loyalty, the relationship he has with this sister and parents, and what he does for Avery. I loved getting to read about his thoughts and feelings about Avery. I saw Cam in a whole new light. Cam and Avery. These two are perfect together. I love seeing how much Cam was effected by Avery from the moment of their first meeting down to how things end at the end of this book. No matter how trying or frustrating things got, he knew what he wanted with Avery, and he was damn sure he was going to get it.
He did all sorts of things to get her to break, and give into him. I mean things that would make you weak in the knees. Reading those from Avery's point of view was great, but knowing the meaning behind those actions from Cam's point of view was just plain hot.
This boy takes determination to a whole new level. I thought Wait for You was swoon worthy, yeah, that book doesn't even compare with the swoon worthy parts of this book. Getting those moments from Cam's point of view was hot.
I loved his nickname for Avery, Shortcake. There were so many little moments I loved getting from his point of view. I swear, there needs to be more characters like Cam. View all 13 comments. So, go check my review for Wait For Me to see it: It would never grow old. I wanted this moment to be perfect for her.
I wanted everything to be beautiful and I wanted her to feel how much I loved her. Except this one was way better, just because it was in Cam's POV. I LOVE him!! I didn't think it would be possible, but I ended up loving him more. Seriously want to marry him, and kiss him, and hug him.
Trust in Me
Anyways, yeah The initial zap, the shock of our lips together hadn't faded. Dumbly I realized that love made it that way, making sure that a simple kiss never dulled, never lost its luster. I was frustrated with her a few times, just like in the first, but I never hated her or annoyed me.
But I did like reading how Cam viewed Avery, and how much he wanted her. He was so sweet, and awesome. Why can't he be real?? Anyhoo, there isn't much new story wise when compared to the first book. You get maybe only a few new scenes of what Cam was doing when he wasn't with Avery. You get to know about all his feels, which I loved. It was really good. And again, it made me fall for Cam more. If you loved the first, than you will love this one too.

Particularly Cam. The worst bits: As enjoyable as it is, it's just a rehash of the same story. Recommended for: Those that have read the preceding "Wait for Me" only.
Aug 15, Jacqueline's Reads rated it really liked it Shelves: What worked for me is the Hero, I loved Cam in book 1 and I was eager to see how he felt and what he was thinking. I also enjoyed the part where he went home and we saw his interactions with his family. I am also happy this is a 1. This I like. Thank you Jennifer.

The only scene I appreciated is the same as that in Wait for You, which is the part when Cam surprises Avery on the holiday and this time, Cam's POV is quite interesting. I pivoted around, about to apologize when I hadn't apologized Actual rating: I pivoted around, about to apologize when I hadn't apologized for any other time I'd busted up into her apartment, but she was in the kitchen, practically airborne.
Coming at me the way Teresa had when she greeted me. The same way my sister had launched herself at Jase. I caught her, wrapping my arms around her waist as I stumbled back, hitting the counter. Shock radiated through me, quickly followed by a wild warmth that lit up my veins. My arms tightened around her as she pressed her cheek to my chest and held on just as strongly as I held her. I dropped my face to the top of her head, inhaling her scent and soaking her response in, holding her close to my heart.
Avery inhaled a shaky breath and said, "I missed you. I'm so happy the author gave us this book! It was truly wonderful. I fell in love with Cam all over again. Avery is a lucky girl! She held my gaze and then closed her eyes, turning her head to the side, causing our skin to glide together. Everyone else knows 4. But I can guarantee you that I enjoyed every second of it!! How can someone resist Cam and his cookies? Not possible! Some chapters were a bit repetitive but since I didn't remember Wait For You all that well,it didn't really matter.
I'm going straight to Jase and Teresa's story next! Hope the author gives us some bits on Cam and Avery's life as well. Shortcake placed her small hand on my cheek.
Cam's POV? Like a full novella from Cam's POV?!! View all 25 comments. Jun 12, Plamena rated it it was amazing. I love the story toooo much!! As we know from the first book he is sweet, sexy and hilarious. All I could think about was how close we were, how I could feel the warmth rolling off her body. These guys are amazing!! This trend needs to die. Or the books should be free. Mar 30, Sruthi T S rated it it was ok. The book has got everything and anything that you expect in a good romance book and manages to make you cry, laugh and swoon all at the same time.
I was having my Semester two exams within a few days but I couldn't let go of this book and how it made me feel, captivating and drowning me. Well, Wait for you was from Avery's perspective, a shy and modest girl, hiding a lot in that bracelet of hers a I'd read Wait For You the last summer and fell for Avery and Cam's romance, loving every bit of it. Well, Wait for you was from Avery's perspective, a shy and modest girl, hiding a lot in that bracelet of hers and who's the only one who has resisted Cam's charm.
It was funny at the start, but got painful when her past creeps up. Trust in me is from Cam's POV and its hilarious downright from the very beginning. I was laughing even at the silliest jokes. Whereas Wait for you was a little bit depressing when we learn about Avery's past, this book is a little more funny and is a good summer cozy read.
I couldn't believe the fact that I found out about this book only yesterday. And I immediately delved into it. I should have known about it earlier itself.. View all 8 comments. May 09, AJ rated it really liked it Shelves: Definitely one of my fave book boyfriends EVER! And while my experience with the retelling of much loved books from the male POV has been a bit hit and miss, I absolutely loved this one!
I was in the Cam-zone, with no intention of getting out of it: And their journey to find their HEA made me laugh, cry and swoon all over again. There is a fair bit of new stuff in this book. Funny and crass, but also thoughtful and supportive of their best friend. There are some new scenes between Cam and Avery, which I thought was a great treat, and, of course, there are repeats of key scenes in Wait for You. It was like being branded. Heat roared through my veins as my body jerked on reflex.
Air punched from my lungs. She wanted to touch me? Holy hell, she could touch me. I pulled back, reached down and yanked my shirt over my head. Taking her hands, I tugged her onto her feet and wrapped my arms around her waist.
I lowered my head, brushing my lips across her cheek. Every night I ended up going one on one with myself to the point that my hand was starting to get numb while I took notes in class. He is such a great guy, and remains at the top of my list of most amazing book boyfriends ever!
It would only ever be because of her. I loved it — 4 stars. View all 15 comments.
